XaRFA explores the latest innovations in 3D printing at Formnext in Frankfurt

The XaRFA has visited the Formnext international fair in additive manufacturing to learn about the latest news and trends in 3D printing.

The network, led by CIM UPC, was on the 7th and 8th at the fair held in Frankfurt. The visit was aimed at learning about the new developments that can benefit SMEs that want to add value to their products and business models based on customization and impossible geometries.

Formnext is an international meeting point for professionals from different areas of the 3D printing industry. During the four days, the fair offers conferences, presentations and unique events that allow visitors to expand their knowledge, find inspiration and expand their network.

The most outstanding technologies have been novelties in direct and semi-direct metal 3D printing. Uno de los ejemplos es impresión con direct energy deposition. Por su parte, en el campo de la impresión 3D de polímeros destacan las aplicaciones en modelos dentales y ortesis y tecnologías de fotopolimerización. Sustainability has also taken center stage with companies focusing on material recycling.

The visit made it possible to keep up to date with new trends and establish synergies with other market players for future collaborations.
